Daf Yomi

Shir Hadash offers two Daf Yomi Programs. / Daf Yomi Bavli meets Sunday - Friday mornings at 9 AM, right after daily Shacharit (at 8:15 AM). / A special Daf Yomi Yerushalmi meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays right after the regular daf yomi - at approximately 10 AM.

Daf Yomi Yerushalmi

Each week - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - following our Daf Yomi (Bavli) class, a unique study of the Yerushalmi Talmud is offered by Rabbi Dov Kidron. Our study of Yerushalmi roughly parallels the Bavli Daf Yomi, so joining this class provides an excellent prism through which to explore the differences between these two great works.

Shir Hadash welcomes students studying for the semester at the BYU Jerusalem to Friday night Kabalat Shabbat. Prior to the tephillot, the students will be introduced to the concept of Shabbat in general by Rabbi Pear and then continue their learning with Ophir Yarden.
